Good news! Four new partners from around the country, have joined us and promise to donate monthly and pray regularly for Bible Alive Theater of Santa Fe & Green  Ridge Ministries. How about you? You would be surprised what God can do with even just $10 per month. We need a replacement for our 1992 minivan which we use a lot for hauling theater equipment and people. This request is especially important because we have the training field trip to Branson, MO. coming up. Thank you.

Myra’s Conferences and Retreats

Myra is looking for more opportunities to share what the Lord has taught her while she has been writing musicals from the Bible. There are many applications from each story that we can apply to our lives.  Myra shares what the Lord has taught her through each one of these biblical women and their stories.  Book Myra now for your women’s ministry or special event.  She performs her solo musicals then teaches what she has learned on the following topics.

Getting Ready for Texas Ministry

As Allen takes over more of the directing for BATSF, Myra has been able to travel further to do solo presentations as well as retreats and conferences. We will be headed to Texas again in January and February 2012. The Huntsville and McAllen areas have already started to book performances.  Contact us soon to come to your church or event.

Pecos Bible Study’s New Ministry

Myra has been teaching a weekly community bible study for ten years encouraging all to learn the character and will of God through his word. Now the bible study group is training to lead elementary children to Jesus. Pray for our group as we try to plant a ‘Follow the Son’ after school bible club at Pecos elementary school. We are in the preliminary stages of talks with the school district. Pray for open doors on the district level and for a teacher who will allow us to meet in their class room. Our New Grandson is Here!

A beautiful baby boy ‘Micah Isaiah Herndon’ was born July 11 and immediately adopted by  our daughter Laura and her husband, Thomas Herndon. This is their third child, and first adoption. He is happy and healthy in his new home with his big sister Maura 9, and big brother Kaleb 6, with Grandma and Papa just up the street. This precious child was saved from abortion through the promise of adoption! BATSF Basic Training

We will hold a mandatory training for new volunteers/students Sept. 24 from 9am-3pm  prior to the Branson trip, at Rodeo Rd. Baptist Church in Santa Fe. We have several new members of the school of ministry that have not yet taken our basic training. This class introduces each student to our ministry goals and purposes and gives a basic training in several areas of music and drama. This is a mandatory training for anyone who wants to serve with Bible Alive Theater.

BATSF Fellowship

As part of our schedule at Bible Alive Theater in Santa Fe, we have a monthly cast party and fellowship meal the Saturday following the third performance of each month at 5:30pm. We have a pot-luck meal and then spend time together having fun. This summer we played water-balloon volleyball and box games and just enjoyed each other at the Glorieta Conference Center. We believe that spending time just getting to know each other is vitally important to ministry. Life in Jesus should be fun!
